End-to-End Support

With deep understanding and experience in aircraft systems, as well as access to multiple technical documents, the team are well equipped to offer end-to-end support to operators’ Engineering departments. By troubleshooting and finding solutions to complex problems, our department provide customized recommendations and advice, stepping in at crucial moments when customers experience aircraft failures. This additional support can come in handy, especially when reactivating aircraft from long-term parking due to COVID-19.

Saying Goodbye to Rogue Units

In 2019, our Advanced Analytics team revamped the Rogue Unit Prevention Program. This program is designed to identify troublesome units to investigate them more thoroughly and prevent them from becoming Rogue Units. Using this proactive tool, our Reliability Engineering team can offer highly accurate advice on how to prevent future failures, or how to proceed with a rogue unit. This ensures that our organization and our customers have a high-quality pool of components. So far in 2020, over 7,000 customer orders have been screened via this custom-made system and then repaired. The Advanced Analytics team continue to implement machine learning to more quickly identify, predict, act upon, and prevent challenges that our customers face.

History Since the 70’s

At Fokker Services, we have a long history in Reliability Engineering, both as an aircraft OEM and today as a Global Independent Aerospace Service Provider. We have been involved with Reliability Engineering since the 70s, when creating the Fokker aircraft Maintenance Steering Group 2 (MSG2) guidelines. To achieve this, the team reviewed maintenance practices to develop authority-approved scheduled maintenance tasks. Today, the team also have extensive component and systems knowledge of the CRJ and Dash 8 platforms in particular, providing highly technical nose-to-tail solutions for these aircraft.

Power by the Hour

When it comes to power by the hour, we have more than 25 years of experience running one of the first power by the hour programs, called ABACUS. The Reliability Engineering team were, and still are, an essential group in reviewing and resolving technical issues to ensure a healthy pool of parts, to ultimately giving more quality and savings to customers.
