Fokker Services’ ULD solutions, now certified by EASA for Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 9
Hoofddorp, The Netherlands. May 5th 2023. With flights over water on the rise, equipping aircraft with an underwater locator device (ULD) becomes a crucial piece in the safety ecosystem.
In this context, we’re proud to announce that our ULD solution has been recently certified by EASA for implementation on the Boeing 737 MAX family (8 and 9).
Our new STC EASA for ULD on Boeing 737 MAX will allow us to expand our ULD portfolio to one of the bestselling aircraft families of all times, with more than 1100 units built and counting. It will also position Fokker Services as a preferred partner to comply with ULD mandates around the world, including EASA, ICAO, and CASA.
Furthermore, with direct stock available and shorter lead times, we help airlines and operators alike to comply with the operational requirements of EASA and other regulators worldwide.
With this new solution, we’re proud to continue contributing to enhanced air safety by means of our innovative technology and our unrivalled expertise in aviation design, which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century.
The implementation of Fokker Services’ ULD technology should bring the public and aircraft operators alike further reassurance when boarding a plane, as the chances of locating an aircraft in the unlikely event of water landing are better if this is equipped with ULD.
