Fokker 100 and Fokker 70 Introduction of a Cargo Compartment Smoke Detection and Fire Suppression System

In 1998 the FAA announced a change in the regulations requiring the conversion of all class D cargo compartments in transport category aircraft to class C standards before March 19, 2001. Indications from the European aviation authorities (JAA) are that they will announce a similar change to the regulations by the end of 2000, also with a 3 year implementation period.
Fokker Services B.V. offers a state-of-the-art cargo smoke detection and suppression system required for the conversion from class D to C for the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft.
