4.1. Aircraft Validation
Before an aircraft type is added to the register of a country, it is common practice to have it validated by the local regulatory authorities. In such effort, the basic type specification, the certification basis and maintenance philosophy are compared with the import requirements of the country of registration.
If requested, Fokker Services can provide Aircraft Validation support to regulatory authorities and operators.
4.2. Pre-Acquisition Consulting Service
Based on the knowledge and expertise of the former OEM of the Fokker type aircraft, Fokker Services can assist airlines in evaluating the introduction of Fokker type aircraft into their fleet. Tailored studies can be carried out on the operational and/or technical suitability and of the economic viability of the Fokker aircraft. Such studies may consist (but may not be limited to) aspects like: customized route studies, direct operating costs and/or fleet commonality analyses.
4.3. Pre-Acquisition Inspection
If required, a full Pre-Acquisition inspection (involving extensive functional and operational checks of the major aircraft systems) can be carried out to provide a more in-depth look at the aircraft’s condition. Pricing and downtime is dependent on the exact content of the inspection package, which is normally defined in close consultation with the Customer.
4.4. Technical Records Survey
In Addition to a Pre-Acquisition Inspection, Fokker Services can provide expert assistance in reviewing and auditing the technical records and maintenance status of the aircraft.
4.5. Pre-Delivery Maintenance and Re-Configuration
The need for Pre-Delivery Maintenance and Re-configuration may come from one of four sources:
- maintenance and modifications which are due on the aircraft,
- maintenance found to be required as a result of a pre-acquisition inspection,
- re-configuration dictated by the regulatory authority in the country of registration as a result of the aircraft validation exercise,
- re-configuration required by the customer in order to be able to fulfil the required mission profile.
Pricing and downtime are dependent on the exact content of the work-package, which is normally defined in close consultation with the Customer and/or aircraft Owner.
