Fokker F27 Friendship - 50st Anniversary

Airborne for already 50 years now!

On November 24, 2005 - 14:29 hours local time the Netherlands, it was exactly 50 years ago (1955) since the first F27 Friendship aircraft (PH-NIV) made its maiden flight !

Today various operators still operate the F27. Scroll down to see the list.
The F27 is used in various roles ranging from search and rescue, air-force missions, coast guard, parateam dropping, cargo, and passenger transportation.

Support in terms of parts availability, component reconditioning, aircraft heavy maintenance, training, documentation, and engineering support is still up and running at Fokker Services. F27 operators can rely on this support for many more years to come.

In order to keep the Fokker spirit alive and to celebrate the 50st anniversary, the dutch F27 Friendship Association, the Fokker Heritage Trust, and the National Aerospace Parc "Aviodrome" took-off with the F27 PH-FHF on November 24, 2005 at exactly 14:29 hours.

We are proud to see that the Fokker F27 - Friendship - is still going strong!
