Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) Navigate directly to the task you need within Maintenance manuals and your airline-authored supplements.
Fokker Services has reached an agreement with the Boeing Commercial Aviation Services which gives you the opportunity to use the powerful PMA for the Fokker 50/ Fokker 60/ Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft. The availability of the PMA for Fokker aircraft represents a significant step forward of our digital distribution process.
The digital documentation policy of Fokker Services is based on various customers input and defines basically two products:
- Delivery of a ready-to-use interactive maintenance tool that allows mechanics and engineers to analyze and solve airplane problems at the work site - in the hangar, on the shop floor, or at the line.
- Delivery of data only, from June 2001 onwards, Fokker Services is able to deliver the AMM, IPC, CML, WM and TSSM in ATA2100 SGML format (this will be explained in the next edition of Flightline).
Making your job easy by using the PMA to access maintenance information, the PMA brings you:
- Instant access to custom airline information as well as the Fokker Services Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Consumable Material List (CML), Wiring Manual (WM) and the Trouble Shooting Schematics Manual (TSSM), using a simple, consistent user interface.
- Powerful customization features that allow you to add or edit your own documents and insert bookmarks and notes.
- Seamlessly include Fokker Services Temporary Revisions.
- Extensive electronic links between related tasks, both within a document and between documents.
- Easy navigation and advanced search capability, using titles text, and graphics.
Benefits cascade throughout your organization
By making critical task information available at the work site, PMA reduces costs and increases productivity throughout the entire engineering and maintenance operation.
- Line mechanics rely on PMA to provide on-airplane access to up-to-date information that helps reduce schedule delays and flight cancellations.
- Engineers use PMA to create task cards, as well as to speed up help desk functions.
- Production planners use PMA for material and tooling utilization, workflow, and spare part staging plans.
- Base maintenance personnel find PMA an excellent productivity enhancer during heavy maintenance visits.
- Maintenance trainers carry PMA to field training sessions and use PMA in developing training materials.
