Fokker Services Logistic Service Provider for PPG Aerospace, A/C Transparencies

As of January 12th 2004, Fokker Services in the Netherlands is responsible for all logistics of PPG Aerospace, Aircraft Transparencies in the regions of Europe, Middle-East and Africa. Fokker Services and PPG Aerospace, Aircraft Transparencies entered into a 5-year agreement.

PPG Aerospace, Aircraft Transparencies is the world leader in aircraft transparencies, as well as in coatings and sealants for the aerospace market. PPG's cockpit windows, for the civil and military markets, are manufactured in Huntsville Alabama (USA), while its passenger windows activity is located at Casaletto Vaprio (Italy).

Customers of PPG Aerospace, Aircraft Transparencies that are in need of replacement parts can now contact Fokker Services 24 hours per day and 365 days per year for routine and AOG spare parts needs. All shipments will be handled by the Material Support department of Fokker Services. Material Support has in corporated this service in its existing facility, conveniently located in the vicinity of Schiphol, Amsterdam International Airport.

As Type-Certificate holder, Fokker Services has been responsible for the continued airworthiness of the entire Fokker fleet. It plans to remain doing so for decades to come. Therefore Fokker Services primarily concentrates on the continued competitive operation of the Fokker fleet. This initiative perfectly fits in the policy of copying existing services to other platforms in the near future though. This policy is part of the business development initiatives within Fokker Services.

Fokker Services specialises in integrated maintenance and modification services as well as aftermarket support for owners and operators of commercial and military aircraft, and forms part of the Stork Aerospace group. This group achieved a turnover of € 411 million in 2002 with 3,225 employees, out of the total Stork turnover of € 2 billion.
