FUTURE Horizons – Flying into the future with Fokker
Following the successful FUTURE50® and FUTURE100® programs, in which operators were encouraged to take up,or continue using, Fokker 50, Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft in their fleets, Fokker Services has now launched a new initiative called “FUTURE Horizons”. Its newest program promises to keep Fokker aircraft flying longer and ensures that they remain competitive.

For more than 10 years, Fokker Services has supported their operator’s fleet in a continued competitive way and it has succeeded to keep Fokker aircraft in the air. With the “FUTURE Horizons” program, Fokker Services is making it loud and clear that this will be guaranteed for the next decades. In fact, without the need to allocate the resources for the development of new aircraft, Fokker Services is in the position to focus on keeping existing aircraft in the air and making them even more economical. As Stephen Hands, Vice-President Sales and Marketing for Fokker Services, stresses: “the number one priority of the organization is to lengthen the product lifecycle of Fokker aircraft”. Through the comprehensive “FUTURE Horizons” initiative, Fokker Services is counting on adding at least another 10 years to the economic service life of Fokker aircraft, especially the ever popular Fokker 50, Fokker 70 and Fokker 100.

In order to enhance the future competitive operation of Fokker aircraft,
the “FUTURE Horizons” program has laid out an ambitious plan covering four main areas:

  • optimizing operational and maintenance costs,
  • increasing the availability and reliability of aircraft,
  • enhancing the passenger appeal of the planes and
  • proactively preparing for future rulemaking.
